Android APK download and troubleshooting guide

By FAK LABS

This guide explains the download controls in FAK LAB Mod Store. It does not certify third-party files or guarantee that a listed app is available.

Choose a source and file

Search the app name to search both servers simultaneously, then open a result under Server 1 or Server 2. Server 2 offers Default (download page 0) and Original (download page 1). Default is selected first. These are fixed shortcuts, not independently verified descriptions of every provider file. If one option is unavailable, try the other source rather than repeatedly starting the same download.

Check filenames and versions

The store checks the file response before asking your browser to download. It uses the server's filename when available and shows the returned file size. The filename can describe an older version than the app listing. Confirm that it matches what you need; do not treat the word “Latest” as proof of a current release.

A generic filename such as api.bin does not tell you what a file contains. Do not rename an unknown file to .apk and install it. Cancel it and retry a verified source. A successful download response is not a malware scan.

APK and XAPK are different formats

An APK is an Android application package. XAPK and other bundle formats may contain multiple packages or extra resources and may require a compatible installer. Changing the extension does not convert a bundle into a standalone APK. Follow the original developer's installation guidance where available.

When a download fails

Keep security checks enabled

Modified apps are not distributed directly by the original developer and can carry additional risks. Keep Play Protect and other device security checks enabled, review permissions, and avoid entering sensitive account details. Prefer the original developer's distribution channel when possible. A “premium” listing is not proof of a legitimate subscription or permission to use paid features.
